Yesterday was Katy Perry’s concert here in Manila for her last California Dreams Tour (125th show!). It was also yesterday that we bought tickets for the event, haha.The decision to watch her concert was really a short notice. It was only last Friday that I have convinced myself to go see her. Good thing today is a non-working holiday due to Chinese New Year (Happy Chinese New Year, guys!*u*). I asked le boyfran to accompany me since he also like some of Katy Perry’s songs.

After buying the silver tickets, we attended the Otaku Expo 2012 held at the SM Megamall. It was fun! I was able to see a very close college friend. I’ve also witnessed a J-music Singing Contest and J-music Battle of the Bands. They amaze me so much because they can sing the anime songs flawlessly. I knew some of the songs and I sang with them, hoho. I wanted to buy chibi anime figurines but I resisted! Maybe next con, yes? I bought red kitty ears and a geek eyeglasses (which the boyfran accidentally broke when we were leaving the con /sadface). I also managed to get some shots with some of the cosplayers! They were all so nice. ^w^

After that, we grabbed some dinner and then went to the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds! My feet were already somewhat tired with all the walking I’ve done in the afternoon. But when I was already inside – the tired feeling drifted away. My very first concert. I was one happy little girl even if Katy Perry will be really far away from me. We stayed near the big screen for the silver tickets area so we can see her, haha!

Unfortunately, we had to wait for three freaking hours. We arrived at the event at 7PM and it was supposed to start at 8PM but it started at 10PM. My feet were already complaining~ so I decided to sit while waiting. It really sucked that the concert producers were not informing us of what was happening! A fellow concert-goer who is a foreigner said that the people should already be booing or calling Katy’s name. She doesn’t get it why people opted to just wait – me too. Well, maybe because the SVIP to Gold tickets have seats while the Silver and Bronze tickets have none.

Then, came 10PM – the California Dreams Tour started with a video and then everyone was already screaming! Her opening song was “Teenage Dream” then followed by “Hummingbird Heartbeat”. I wasn’t able to record those two songs (my favorite songs from her latest album!) because I was really enjoying the show and I was singing my heart out! Her final song was “California Girls”! I thought it will be “Fireworks”, hehe. She didn’t sing “Thinking of You” but she sang the acoustic version of “The One That Got Away”. Superb performance!

Note to self: I should really save up for a camera. Birthday wishlist?

After the concert, I could feel my feet screaming “LET US REST! WE’RE DYING!!!” while walking. My only goal was to take a rest and find a seat and then go home. I managed to get some rest first – recharged a little then went home happily. ^w^

I was sleeping the whole day today but my feet are still aching a little. But I am still a happy little girl~ *w* Hihihi…

It was near the end of the program when I decided that I couldn’t take it anymore. I left the event to find the nearest drugstore and bought some medicines. I felt better but the pain didn’t go away. While I was on my way home, I could feel my lower left cheek area throbbing and swelling. I couldn’t wait to go home.

So when I reached home, Mama asked me to drink some antibiotic medicines and I felt great after. It was still aching but it was tolerable.

However, I woke up this morning with a really swollen left cheek. There was no pain at all but my cheek has gotten bigger. I did not go to work because I went out and saw a dentist. Well, she said it was because of my growing wisdom tooth.

Ah, I told her that it was always there – peeking. And then it started growing again now! Why…

I just wish the swelling goes away as soon as possible with the prescribed medicines. Sighing forever.

Okay.. so why did I have a sleepfest? Well, from December 26 to December 30 – I was on a nightshift schedule (10PM to 8AM) but sadly on the last day, we had a high priority issue that required tough investigation and an overtime. I ended my shift with 16hours work! Boo.

Then off I went to the mall because I heard there was an ongoing sale. While I was traveling, I could feel that my head was throbbing due to lack of sleep. Hoho, but my stubborn self was determined to explore in that sale. End of story – I was able to buy myself a notebook!

After that, I went home and ditched sleep to use my new notebook. Unfortunately, to my horror – the CD/DVD ROM was not functioning properly! So I just stored it in its box and then decided to finally sleep after eating some food my awesome Mom cooked.

But I woke up the next day.

They said they were waking me up but I kept on sleeping. I couldn’t remember a thing! z_z But I’ve read somewhere that what you do to welcome the New Year is indicative of what awaits you all-throughout the year. Does that mean I’ll be full of sleep/rest? Well, I doubt that… with the nature of work that I am in! Le sigh~ But I am still hoping! *crosses.fingers* :3

Anyway, I returned the notebook today at the mall where I bought it. I was thankful that they replaced it with a new unit. Yay! I was really nervous that they wouldn’t replace it but I’m just happy that they were able to confirm it was really dysfunctional so they replaced it immediately. Thanks to Premium Logic. :3

By the way, my notebook’s name is Daenarys.

On the other hand, I may have failed to welcome the New Year properly but I bet 2012 will be great not only for me but also for everyone. Cheers to positivity!

In my previous post, I was still thinking if I should settle for another planner but I decided to just stick with that of Starbucks’ because:

1. It has a really neat pouch – Yay for the added cover/protection inside my bag, hoho!
2. It’s small and it’s lightweight – My exact preference since I bring lots of stuff. ;p

And because I was majorly excited to jot down stuff, I already marked important dates in my planner – birthdays, work schedules, etc. Here’s to hoping I can keep this up~ *cheers*

Oh, before I forget – Merry Christmas! I wasn’t able to blog lately because I was really busy. December had been one hell of a month for me due to regular work with extra curricular activities on top and holiday errands! I was also playing Eden Eternal during my free time, heh. Hence, blog inactivity for a while.

Anyway, I am grateful that I received these wonderful presents last Christmas. Thank you! *w*

I am 11 stickers away from the Starbucks 2012 Planner! I hope I can collect them on or before January 8, 2012. *wishmeluckgaiz*

I decided to join the ~bandwagon~ as they say! Haha. But I’m still thinking if I should go for the Starbucks Planner or not. I’ve already seen some nicer and more-of-what-I-want-in-a-planner planners! We’ll see…

And besides… I had a planner this year but I failed to stick to it. Kind of lost track when the third quarter kicked in. Hoping I can manage it this time!

Well, lately.. I’ve been MIA in my own blog due to gaming. It’s such a shame… but work is keeping me away too! I’m guilty of not returning comments and blog visits. I hope you can forgive me.

Anyway, Christmas is just around the corner! And with that, we (a friend of mine and yours truly) were tasked to be a part of the organizing team for our department’s Christmas Party. We were also in the same committee. I thought planning will be a breeze because I get to team up with someone I know. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.

I do not know what the hell went wrong. I met her just months ago when she rolled in to the project. I am not that close to her because her personality is just so strong and I get uncomfortable at times with that. But we get along pretty well, most of the time. She’s nice to me as far as I know.

However, last Monday – she was not able to go to work because she was sick. So I just created the two postcards we were going to use for teasers. I allotted some time to finish them even if the consequence was that I have to stay overtime for work. Then I showed these to our other colleagues in the committee we were part of to ask for any suggestions or feedback. They were happy to sign-off my work but she suddenly messaged me if I could send the raw file to her so she can review and make changes. FYI, she serves as the sub-lead of the committee since the real head is a manager and is, most of the time, busy.

So I sent her my work. Then after some hours – she sent the updated postcards to our committee. Sure, she made changes. Major changes. I think the only things she left in there were the image (for the background) and the catch phrase (for the activity). All in all – it was already a different work. Her work.

Seriously, I felt offended. I shouldn’t have wasted my time trying to cram up that crap when it was just going to be majorly revised. The heck! I felt like my work was rejected by her. She could’ve told me what to improve with it – not trash it like that. Even the committee noticed the major update she made to my work. They were in favor of my design than hers, as a matter of fact.

Then another thing happened in the afternoon. It’s a long story but it also annoyed me. So from now on, I won’t do anything unless she instructs it. I want to be of help to her and to our committee but she’s acting like another person. So yeah, I completely leave everything to her. If that’s what she wants…

On a lighter note, I am happy to chance upon Leeza’s post about lipsticks! :3 I just hope that it’s available here on our country because I want one! *~*

Anyway, even though I totally hate blood extraction – I was happy to know about my blood type! The clinic was offering a free blood typing service so I grabbed the opportunity and signed up. Heehee. I’m already 22 but I am still clueless of what my blood type until last Saturday. I’m an AB+.

After that, we bought some stuff for Chuckie, our Japanese Spitz puppy. We also window-shopped for new books, stereo receivers, and some clothes. The two boys were complaining that their feet were all numb already so I treated them for some energy refill – a rice-all-you-can dinner! :3

But before we went home, we dropped by at the arcade and I finally got to play DrumMania!!! …but in Beginner mode. Haha. I want to familiarize myself with the gameplay first and to be honest, I suck at games like that. I easily panic when I miss and most of the time sometimes, I can’t catch up with the ‘beat’!

Oh well~ practice makes perfect! I hope.

Sadly, she didn’t get what I wanted her to do for me. The first cut were okay, but then the next cut put me into doubt. I thought it was short but then, I may be wrong so I let her do her thing. But after a few more hair chopping here and there – I knew the style she was aiming for. And it wasn’t the style that I wanted.

Unfortunately, it was shorter than what I wanted. Well, no, it IS really short.

I just sat there – heartbroken – as I watch my hair being cut into a style I didn’t want. I wanted to stand up and shout at her but I decided not to. The damage has been done. Well, the cut was nice if it’s the cut per se but I dislike having really short hair.

I do not know what went wrong. I’ve already went to that salon a few times already. I’ve given their gay hairdressers the same instructions and they did fine and I got what I wanted. It was the same instructions that I gave to that woman – but no, she ruined my hairstyle.

I am devastated. I even told my mom about it but she said my style was fine (meh, mothers are all like that~ D:) and maybe it’s because I am not used to sporting a short hair. Well, actually – the style I have right now is by far the shortest I have gotten myself into.

Argh, it’s annoying. I know I am overreacting but – meh… I hope my hair grows fast and ASAP! :/

The only thing I hated during the visit was the ‘pricking’ part. I have really low pain tolerance so I had to ask my doctor to rest for some minutes because I couldn’t take it anymore. Well, he already warned me that first time pricking will be very painful because he uses a lot of pressure for first-time patients. Yes, it was painful – I felt like my cheeks were being pierced like there’s no tomorrow — but like what his kind assistant told me while I was freaking out during prep — “No pain, no gain”.

And yes, I will have to abide by that motto until I am fully healed. *crosses.fingers*

It’s been a week now and I am religiously taking my medicines. I am just happy that my acne is drying up already. I can’t wait for positive results to show up. My next visit will be on the 8th. Wish me luck! <3

I turned 22 last Saturday. I celebrated it by going to the derma then movie date with him! I knew it was a bad choice to go on a date after you’ve done your facial — my face looked like a freaking warzone! D; But I have to force myself to not care. Besides, it was my birthday!

We watched a local movie thinking it was nice – but meh, didn’t like it in the long run. I should’ve picked “Johnny English Reborn” instead. Stupid choices, grr! D; But it sucked that “Friends with Benefits” were not yet in theaters then. (It was shown four days after.) We decided to eat at Cabalen after the movie. It’s a buffet restaurant and the food was awesome! I was supposed to take pictures of the awesome food but I got too hungry and forgot. Haha. We both went home with really happy tummies. :3

Speaking of photos, I am thinking of buying my own point and shoot camera. Haha!

I know that blogs are for the public… but when an offline person unearthed my really old blog and then read it out loud for other people to hear – I felt ashamed. The blogs that I’ve posted in 2004 were really silly. Back then, I just blogged whatever I wanted without thinking if it’s already too much. I didn’t care how I blog and what I blogged because it was MY blog, MY personal diary online.

Same goes for my entries in 2009. Though they managed to unearth some snippets from there, they got to unearth some personal stuff (that were unfortunately included in the snippet, huhu) that I do not share with offline people. Yes, I am secretive with these personal matters when it comes to offline people. Simply because I have my reasons.

I felt embarrassed because I felt like my past is being retold to me. But then again – what’s the point? A published blog is made for public — it’s just a matter of time when an offline person you don’t want seeing your blog finds it. Unfortunately, what’s done is done. If I wanted it to be private, then I shouldn’t have posted it anyway. I’ve been really careless in the past and now that even if I already changed my ways, it finds a way to haunt me. Tsktsk.
