But nope… I have to spare myself from the pressure so I guess I will take the Part 2 exam some other time.

Oh, I have finally watched Avengers with my brother. I had lots of fun watching it! I was happy that I got to find out who really died. My boss and my workmates were having fun spoiling the plot to those who haven’t watched it yet! And boohoo, I was one of them. I only got to watch it a week after its premiere. D: But I’m good. Glad they didn’t really spoil it.

I also found it funny how my co-worker was ranting how she was ecstatic about Thor and how she hated Captain America. Well, after watching the Avengers movie, she keeps raving about Captain America! Though she said her heart still belongs to Thor. Haha. But I think Chris Evans had too much make-up on some scenes. There were times that I felt like he was seriously Photoshop-ed! I still liked him though. It’s such a shame that I haven’t watched his movie. And Thor’s. Haha!

Dark Shadows premiered last Thursday. I want to watch it! I am thinking of going to the cinemas on Saturday. I love Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter (and Tim Burton)!

In other news, I am just happy that The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle has returned from their breaks! *u*

Anyway, I am just so glad that I was able to catch up with Once Upon A Time. I think it is a wonderful series or maybe I am just a sucker for fairy tales. It’s a darker re-telling of the stories you know when you were a kid. The main story sort of revolves around Snow White’s but there’s a whole cast of fairytale characters in it! And did I tell you that Lana Parilla rocks as The Evil Queen?! I hate and love her at the same time! Her costumes as the Evil Queen are to die for.

Oh, I have already joined the Instagram bandwagon! I am happy that it finally open to Android users. I tried Streamzoo (Instagram-like app in Android) before but there’s no one to follow. So follow me on IG, I’m xxshichi. Feel free to leave your Instagram IDs so I can follow you too. ^w^

Also, I downloaded photo apps today from the Android Market (a.k.a Google Play). Mehehe.

1. Camera 360 Ultimate – I love this app. This is now my default camera. I like its “Screen Shoot” feature that let’s you take the shot by just touching the screen! Since my phone does not have a dedicated camera key – this feature rocks. I love the effects it can offer. One of the effects is the “Ghost” effect that inserts a fake ghost girl in your photo, haha. Creepy! It has a “Scenes” feature but you have to download the photos used for the scenes. And sadly, it has no “Move to SD” feature.

2. LINE camera – I love how this can function as a photo-editing tool aside from being a camera app. I love the effects, the frames and the stamps! I had fun editing my dog’s photo. I posted it in Instagram. It has a “Move to SD” feature so yay!

3. Photo Grid – For making collages! I think it’s a fun app based from the quick exploring that I’ve made. I used my dog’s photos (again) to create a collage and I liked how you can shake it and it changes the layout. After editing, you can immediately share it in Instagram as they’re an icon just below the work area for quick sharing~ It has a “Move to SD” feature, too.

Wow, I think I might feature a post like this – quick reviews about the apps that I download from the Android Market.

We watched City Hunter last Friday and we finished it last night. It’s a 20-episode Korean TV series. It’s dubbed here in our country but since it’s aired late (I think), I couldn’t catch it! And besides, I know there will be a lot of deleted scenes. So I decided to borrow a workmate’s copy of the series and transferred it to my hard disk.

I got curious with the series when I caught a glimpse of an episode (which turns out to be from Episode 3 of the TV series) where Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho’s character) was held by two guys but he managed to escape! Then as he was about to leave the scene of the crime a.k.a THE KITCHEN, an evil pseudo-chef came charging with a knife! He defeated this big guy with his really badass fighting moves using only a spoon as his weapon. Heehee.

Anyway, the series revolved around getting revenge but eventually going down to the question: “How are you going to do it?”. I guess Yoon Sung’s way of getting revenge by exposing the corrupt side of the officials involved is way better than having them killed which is his father’s method (Lee Jin Pyo), by the way. I loved how they planned on tracking these officials, on how they acquired the evidences, the really badass fight scenes and the gadgets they use! Haha. I couldn’t handle the suspense when they’re about to be caught. My sister and I would cover our faces with our pillows but our brother was watching intently! Even if at the back of my mind, I know that they wouldn’t be caught, I couldn’t help but scream a little. Yep, a little. XD

I adore the houses used by Yoon Sung and Jin Pyo in the series. Yoon Sung’s minimalistic and modern house is to die for but Jin Pyo’s glass house is also amazing. I’m torn. But I still love Ji-eun’s glass house from Full House – because it’s near a beach, heh. :3

There were a number of funny times while watching because my sibs and I would just blurt out local celebs that the Korean actors/actresses look like. We were also not into the Yoon Sung-Na Na love story. We would fast-forward some Yoon Sung-Na Na non-speaking scenes just to get over with it. We’re more into the Sae Hee-Young Joo love story because we find this couple more interesting. Also – almost every character in the series was using an iPhone! From the goons to the higher ups – they’re all on iPhone.

And lastly, I find the ending rushed. I don’t like rushed endings. *coughsMockingjaycoughs* I want my endings memorable/unforgettable! But I guess it’s just me. I still loved the last episode, though! Overall, I find the series interesting so I would recommend it if you haven’t watched it yet. *u*

After my derma trip, I went to the mall and got there at around 1:45PM. I was thinking that I might have to wait some more for the next screening but I was lucky that they had a 2PM movie for Hunger Games! I quickly paid the ticket and bought myself some food. I was really in a hurry. I didn’t want to miss the first minutes. Thankfully, I just arrived on time. Heh, I was able to get an awesome seat, too.

Anyway, I felt really giddy like a child during the first few minutes of the movie. I confessed that I tear up a little! It’s kinda embarrassing but I cried a little during The Reaping on District 12 (seeing it happen was kind of scary and creepy!), Katniss’ last minute moments before being sent to the Capitol (heh, no Madge though~ Guess who gave her the Mockingjay pin! ) and Rue’s demise (of course!). Okay, maybe when Rue died, I cried a lot. I remembered how I also cried much when I was reading the book. Crybaby tears, hoo.

They did made some changes in the movie but I think it was awesome. I love how the movie introduced a new point of view – the Gamemakers! It’s really great. It made the Games more alive seeing how these Gamemakers controlled the Arena. :3

And the fire effect on Katniss! Ooohhh…

If you’ve already read the book, you have to go and see the movie! Give it a chance. The book is still better but the movie did a great job too.

It just sucked that I wasn’t able to buy myself a Hunger Games shirt. I was planning to wear one if I am going to watch it in the cinemas. Haha!

This is one of those days that I wish weekend would be longer than two days. I badly want to have a rest and by rest – I mean lazying forever in my bed. Or maybe not. But meh, I just want this sickness to go away soon. I am totally hating the fact that I am being sickly lately. Now I am regretting that I didn’t get the discounted flu shot at work last year. Boo.

On a lighter and positive note, we went out today. I felt a little better in the afternoon and went with my family to the mall. My sibs are going to have their recognition (brother) and graduation (sister). And because of that, Mama had to buy new clothes as she got nothing to wear on the said events. It was my treat because it’s my late Christmas gift for her. I was supposed to buy new clothes for Papa too but he declined. I also bought a new top for work, yay me! :3

It’s a rare occasion that we, my sibs and I, go out with our parents. It’s usually just the three of us because Papa will always be busy from work and Mama does not like to commute. And to top it all, it’s a Sunday today and they would usually have this day as rest. I am just glad that Papa agreed to accompany us to the mall.

Anyway, I have been sick with cough for more than a week now. And just last week, I caught the colds. Way to go, immune system! I am taking the medicines already. I am just thankful that I have no fever – just the cough and colds, so I can still go to work. I am on a night shift this week and it will suck if I go on sick leave. D; I was able to rest and sleep yesterday so I am feeling better. I hope this sickness will go away soon. I hate being sick.

Last week, I have installed Alice: Madness Returns in my laptop. I saw it in Liza‘s sidebar before and I love Alice that’s why I got curious about this game. I am just in the early stages of the game and I am already stuck. FYI, I suck at jumping in games. I really suck at it. I remember when I was little and we were playing Mario, my Mario would always die when there are really large gaps that requires good jumping. I also tried playing Grand Chase when it was still in Beta. We were in a party and we’ve already completed the quest so it was time to move out of the place. It required a lot of jumping. But when I was really close to the top (a.k.a “finish line”), I tripped and fell – and I wasn’t able to reach the top. My party was in a hurry and they grew tired and left me. It was fine with me because they were just strangers. But meh, I really suck at jumping!

Going back to Alice, there’s a scene where you have to jump really high to evade the lava. And I am currently stuck on that scene. If you’re familiar with this game, you’ll know that this is just at the really early stage. Embarrassing, I know. ~_~ I believe the place where I am stuck is the last obstacle for that lava scene in that stage. And if I can pass through it, I can move the next scene. I was able to pass the other lava obstacles… but this last obstacle – I CAN’T PASS THROUGH IT!!! I keep hitting the lava and I turn into butterflies (a.k.a ~dead~ :c ). I am so frustrated.

I haven’t open the game again because it makes me sad. It’s a really nice game that’s why I am frustrated because I can’t play it. But I will try it again! I guess I just have to believe in myself. I just have to believe that I can jump on top of any obstacles~ I know it! I just know it. /crosses.fingers

I wish I didn’t suck at jumping.

Yesterday was Katy Perry’s concert here in Manila for her last California Dreams Tour (125th show!). It was also yesterday that we bought tickets for the event, haha.The decision to watch her concert was really a short notice. It was only last Friday that I have convinced myself to go see her. Good thing today is a non-working holiday due to Chinese New Year (Happy Chinese New Year, guys!*u*). I asked le boyfran to accompany me since he also like some of Katy Perry’s songs.

After buying the silver tickets, we attended the Otaku Expo 2012 held at the SM Megamall. It was fun! I was able to see a very close college friend. I’ve also witnessed a J-music Singing Contest and J-music Battle of the Bands. They amaze me so much because they can sing the anime songs flawlessly. I knew some of the songs and I sang with them, hoho. I wanted to buy chibi anime figurines but I resisted! Maybe next con, yes? I bought red kitty ears and a geek eyeglasses (which the boyfran accidentally broke when we were leaving the con /sadface). I also managed to get some shots with some of the cosplayers! They were all so nice. ^w^

Aww, shucks. I want to cosplay someday!

After that, we grabbed some dinner and then went to the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds! My feet were already somewhat tired with all the walking I’ve done in the afternoon. But when I was already inside – the tired feeling drifted away. My very first concert. I was one happy little girl even if Katy Perry will be really far away from me. We stayed near the big screen for the silver tickets area so we can see her, haha!

Unfortunately, we had to wait for three freaking hours. We arrived at the event at 7PM and it was supposed to start at 8PM but it started at 10PM. My feet were already complaining~ so I decided to sit while waiting. It really sucked that the concert producers were not informing us of what was happening! A fellow concert-goer who is a foreigner said that the people should already be booing or calling Katy’s name. She doesn’t get it why people opted to just wait – me too. Well, maybe because the SVIP to Gold tickets have seats while the Silver and Bronze tickets have none.

Then, came 10PM – the California Dreams Tour started with a video and then everyone was already screaming! Her opening song was “Teenage Dream” then followed by “Hummingbird Heartbeat”. I wasn’t able to record those two songs (my favorite songs from her latest album!) because I was really enjoying the show and I was singing my heart out! Her final song was “California Girls”! I thought it will be “Fireworks”, hehe. She didn’t sing “Thinking of You” but she sang the acoustic version of “The One That Got Away”. Superb performance!

Note to self: I should really save up for a camera. Birthday wishlist?

After the concert, I could feel my feet screaming “LET US REST! WE’RE DYING!!!” while walking. My only goal was to take a rest and find a seat and then go home. I managed to get some rest first – recharged a little then went home happily. ^w^

I was sleeping the whole day today but my feet are still aching a little. But I am still a happy little girl~ *w* Hihihi…

It was near the end of the program when I decided that I couldn’t take it anymore. I left the event to find the nearest drugstore and bought some medicines. I felt better but the pain didn’t go away. While I was on my way home, I could feel my lower left cheek area throbbing and swelling. I couldn’t wait to go home.

So when I reached home, Mama asked me to drink some antibiotic medicines and I felt great after. It was still aching but it was tolerable.

However, I woke up this morning with a really swollen left cheek. There was no pain at all but my cheek has gotten bigger. I did not go to work because I went out and saw a dentist. Well, she said it was because of my growing wisdom tooth.

Ah, I told her that it was always there – peeking. And then it started growing again now! Why…

I just wish the swelling goes away as soon as possible with the prescribed medicines. Sighing forever.

Okay.. so why did I have a sleepfest? Well, from December 26 to December 30 – I was on a nightshift schedule (10PM to 8AM) but sadly on the last day, we had a high priority issue that required tough investigation and an overtime. I ended my shift with 16hours work! Boo.

Then off I went to the mall because I heard there was an ongoing sale. While I was traveling, I could feel that my head was throbbing due to lack of sleep. Hoho, but my stubborn self was determined to explore in that sale. End of story – I was able to buy myself a notebook!

After that, I went home and ditched sleep to use my new notebook. Unfortunately, to my horror – the CD/DVD ROM was not functioning properly! So I just stored it in its box and then decided to finally sleep after eating some food my awesome Mom cooked.

But I woke up the next day.

They said they were waking me up but I kept on sleeping. I couldn’t remember a thing! z_z But I’ve read somewhere that what you do to welcome the New Year is indicative of what awaits you all-throughout the year. Does that mean I’ll be full of sleep/rest? Well, I doubt that… with the nature of work that I am in! Le sigh~ But I am still hoping! *crosses.fingers* :3

Anyway, I returned the notebook today at the mall where I bought it. I was thankful that they replaced it with a new unit. Yay! I was really nervous that they wouldn’t replace it but I’m just happy that they were able to confirm it was really dysfunctional so they replaced it immediately. Thanks to Premium Logic. :3

By the way, my notebook’s name is Daenarys.

On the other hand, I may have failed to welcome the New Year properly but I bet 2012 will be great not only for me but also for everyone. Cheers to positivity!

In my previous post, I was still thinking if I should settle for another planner but I decided to just stick with that of Starbucks’ because:

1. It has a really neat pouch – Yay for the added cover/protection inside my bag, hoho!
2. It’s small and it’s lightweight – My exact preference since I bring lots of stuff. ;p

And because I was majorly excited to jot down stuff, I already marked important dates in my planner – birthdays, work schedules, etc. Here’s to hoping I can keep this up~ *cheers*

Oh, before I forget – Merry Christmas! I wasn’t able to blog lately because I was really busy. December had been one hell of a month for me due to regular work with extra curricular activities on top and holiday errands! I was also playing Eden Eternal during my free time, heh. Hence, blog inactivity for a while.

Anyway, I am grateful that I received these wonderful presents last Christmas. Thank you! *w*
